Installing running board support rods
Do you bow the support rod to install them?

Bob, I try to fit them as best I can, and note how much more I need to be able to get them into place. Then I use a die to add that much thread to one end. This enables that end to go further through the eye and lets me fit the other end. Purists might not appreciate the extra bit of thread.
