There is an Australian made coil on ebay at the moment.

I've seen ROFO coils for more modern cars but this is the first Model T coil.

Re: Australian ROFO coil on ebay
Lorimer also made T style coils. Many of these had spring type clips on the contacts, because they were made to power electric fence units. I have yet to find one where the core inside the coil is packed with fine soft wire like the genuine article. They usually have a looser pack of metal strips in place of the wire. How they stack up in performance against the real deal I do not know. I have never found a set of four, which may indicate that they were used in a car.
The wooden box on Lorimers was made with silky oak timber, and they are really pretty.

The later more modern KW American coils also used the strips for the core. The coils made with the clips could also have been made for the guys with hit-miss engines.
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

I don't know if you remember Allan, but I owned one at Ballarat Swap for about 30 minutes. I sat at your site with it. A hit-miss bloke asked if I would sell it. I said no, I'd just bought it , he said what is your "silly price", and he bought it. Still a bit annoyed with myself.
Ah well. Think it may have been Silky Oak.
