Fab Fun in the shop Part 1
So I lost the coil box lid somewhere in the last move and what with Covid and the cost of shipping (especially from US to Canada) I decided I might as well build one. I made a form out of wood and with a little bending and welding I managed to make a half decent replacement. I'm there are many who would laugh at someone making a coil box lid because you've probably got ten of them lying around, but I didn't have one, and I had the time. it was a fun project. I learned a lot by watching "Fitzees Fabrications" on YouTube. Check it out. He can make just about anything without a lot of fancy equipment.

It looks like you have gone to the Richard Eagle school of getting it done.

That's some fine work and a great use of Covid down time.
What's the next project, James?

Re: Fab Fun in the shop Part 1
Not so much next project as previous project... I had a rusted out running board apron that I patched in Summer.
I enjoy the metal working part of it way more than the filler and paint part. Luckily the picture doesn't show the sanding marks. It's a 20 foot paint job.
