During the rebuild of a few early and later magneto coil ring rebuilds I found out that the center of the coils on the older coils is about 1/2" earlier than on the late coils.
Just wondering why this difference?

Re: An other(may be stupid) early magnéto coil question.
I didn't think about this, but it's true, the stator coils on an early 09 would be 1/2" wide, where the later ones would be 9/16"... a pre-2500 T would definitely be within that 1/2" coil width era.
