Kevin Prus is home recovering from the virus

Post by Don D » Tue Dec 15, 2020 11:52 am

I just got off the telephone with Kevin Prus, 1993 MTFCI President from Ohio, and got his permission to let you all know he was hit by the virus. It knocked him down with it and caused double pneumonia. Fortunately his doctor was a cousin who marshalled the staff for 8 days to give him "stellar care" - his words not mine. He is resting at home since being discharged on Sunday. Please keep Kevin and Ginny in your thoughts and prayers.

WOW, sorry to hear any T owner/member has had to bear the dreaded disease. Sometimes catching it is despite taking all the precautions, but I know others who have followed the "non-science" advice that has been perpetuated for the last 10+ months and even have a family member who says he doesn't trust the vaccine and won't take it when it is offered to him. I have had one distant family memeber die from it, and have one in the hospital, now, and he has been there since October.

Get well soon Kevin.

I appreciate you transporting the top bows to Chickasha for me a couple years ago.

Great to hear Kevin is doing well. Kelly and I have been concerned for his well-being.

Kevin,

Sorry to hear that happened. Glad to hear that you are on the mend. Follow the doctor's advice -- I know we hate being told to take it easy etc.

You are in our thoughts and prayers.

Respectfully submitted,

I dropped some Model T stuff off at Kevin's garage yesterday and I was rather surprised to see him come to work.

So I took a photo of him coming through the door. He probably didn't stay all day.

He looked very good for someone that came through the ordeal he did.

He said he was mentioned on the Forum and I could post the photo here.

I never got that procedure worked out, but I'll send it to someone willing to post it.

Update 12/19/20: Kevin was out to the barn this morning to get some firewood and fresh air in his lungs. Yesterday Jim Golden took the photo of Kevin as he dropped a few engines for rebuilding. Kevin said it is ok to attach the photo for anyone who wants to print it to put in their shop to keep the mice away. His words not mine. Also Ginny is recovering well and cleared to return to work on Monday.

Kevin has some quality people working for him. He was probably afraid they didn’t need him.
