One of my favorite events to attend was the New London to New Brighton Run last year.
It is a “ must see “ for any early auto enthusiast ...
Yesterday I was privileged to meet an Historic Olds Curved Dash ...
“ Edith “ has participated in (3) London to Brighton Runs
and was shipped to London each time from California.
Miss Margaret Anne was the owner - as it turns out
she was The First American Woman to complete the
Event - what a Gal ...

That's Bill Ottemann from Fallbrook, California.
In the background is his home made trailer he designed & built himself.
He stored this in his garage for the past (10) years for Marie Anne.
He was nice enough to bring it to a big box parking lot so I could load it ....

Original fuel delivery system.
On the left is the air cleaner and carburetor.
In the center is lift pump that sat in the fuel tank ( note primer plunger on top ).
On the right is fuel line with diaphragm housing.
This Olds has a Model T carburetor on it.

What the picture doesn’t show is the size of the pipes. They are about 1/2” external diameter, so less than 3/8” internal.
In one of the books reproduced by Gary Hoonsbeen, there is a series of calculations on how the pipes were sized. I didn’t follow all the details but the intent was to cause some back pressure and allow a steady stream of heated air from the “expansion” chamber. They didn’t call it a muffler

Thanks
New owner Perry with his wife at drop off yesterday.
He deserves this special Olds & will take good care of it.
I certainly enjoyed the opportunity to transport it.
