Today was a good day!
Today I got to spend the day with two of my favorite people doing my favorite thing. I spent the day in the garage with my Dad, Russ Furstnow, and son Jordon. We were restoring the fenders for my son’s 1925 Model T pickup. It was absolutely fantastic to watch my Dad pass on his knowledge to Jordon. I am so proud of them both!!!

Hi Dave, No wine cooler, but it does have plenty of water and a few Bud Lights!!
I'm very proud of Jordon as he and his dad have worked on his 1925 Roadster pickup for the past five years. Jordan has spent many hours in my barn working on his car, and it has truly become a "family" project. His car was purchased by his dad who discovered the pickup near Winslow, AZ. The car was used to drive sheep from Camp Verde to Winslow, and was very well worn. Jordon and his dad installed new wood in the body and his mom and dad helped Jordon install the upholstery. The fenders will be the next step in the car's completion. Jordon wants to complete the car before he graduates from Coconino High School this year, and I think we have a real shot of making that goal.
Here are a few of photos of the car showing how the project looked when the restoration began, dad and Jordon working on the engine, the body with new wood, and the car as it looks today.

You haven't kept me informed on your progress! I'm wondering if this car is late enough to have the tool / side curtain storage tray in back of the gas tank? They sure are handy for storing almost everything.

Larry, Your pickup is beautiful. Looking at the photos of the body with the original wood (not much of it), I don't think it had the storage area behind the gas tank.

There is a list of bolts that Ford supplied for the pickup box installation. I have this list, but where? I live in a small house with no room for a filing cabinet. I remember when I installed my bed I had about six people to help me get it on. There is only about 1/4" between the front panel of the bed and the back panel of the body. If I can find that photo, I'll post it.

I would like to know when Ford introduced the tool tray for in back of the gas tank. I know Howells is making the sheet metal, but the special brackets for that area are non-existent. The whole arrangement is different. That unit is sure nice for tools, side curtains, and spare parts. Ford even had a cardboard piece that layed in the bottom of the unit, and there is a part number for it too!

Storage space in a runabout is pretty scarce, so I put this homemade tray behind the tank in my 1915.
