FJ - It’s Model T Trailer Towing Season - Need New Tires ?

I went to 16 inch tires a few years ago.
I get “ all steel “ (14) ply trailer tires.
Usually “ Hercules “ or “ Gladiator “.

An all steel trailer tire is less likely
to blow out from a side impact from
debris - kinds like a “ run flat “ tire.

This curb side tire had no air
but did not separate or damage
the rim.

I bought (4) new tires - (2) were good
to keep as spares

I've had a couple sets of Chinese made tires.
That's "had." Maybe they are better now but I run either American made Mastercraft or Yokohama Japanese .

I have Mastercraft on my backhoe trailer, my travel trailers, my flatbed trailers and seven cars and pickups. No problems.

I have Yokahoma on my F250. Came used with them on it.

Made in USA.

Mastercraft still makes whitewalls in correct sizes and configurations for older cars. Both Cadillacs, 86 F150, 49 Willys pickup and 2001 Sport Trac.

All he had in stock in the size we needed.
