Thank you to Lang's and Chaffin's Garage

Post by WayneJ » Tue Jun 29, 2021 8:14 am

As I posted in another thread, I had purchased a new ball bearing hub fan, but hadn't yet installed it, when disaster struck, and I lost a fan blade and put a hole in one tube of my radiator. With the radiator in the shop, perfect time to replace the radiator.

When I purchased the new fan some months back, I painted the fan and, for safe keeping, placed the bushings that go with it, in a plastic sandwich bag labeled "fan bushings". I am sure you can all see this coming, after turning the garage upside down, I cannot find the bushings. So I contacted Lang's to get replacement bushings. Steve Lang contacted the manufacturer, Chaffin's Garage, about replacement bushings. Chaffin's Garage is replacing the bushings I lost, at no charge, not even postage. So thank you to both Lang' s and Chaffin"s Garage. I appreciate their service and support, and hope to be back on the road soon.

Yep, two of the many great companies we have to help us! I just got two head gaskets and a carbon brush from Mark Chaffin, they're kinda hard to get.

That is definitely "above & beyond" service. With all the chatter on this forum about bad service from some vendors it is nice to hear the other side of it.

Iv'e found the best way to find a lost part or tool is to buy another one. Thats why I have 3 Snap-On $80 test lights.
