Spokane National Tour
Another fine day with the T's on Tour at the National Tour hosted by the Inland Empire club in Spokane. Even with the hot weather we had a great time driving our T's thru the country side lined with wheat fields and other crops. Today we saw a good sized buck and doe deer and were stopped and held hostage on the road by a small herd of renegade cows with young calves who owned the road for a mile or so.
I'm sure there will be some pictures posted since they hired a photographer. We've been kept super busy with the days driving then topped of with a tech talk each night out in the parking lot.
Seems like not many cars needed a trouble trailer. One car a couple cars in front of me lost his left rear wheel at speed right when he was passing a cyclist! Not sure if they found the wheel as I passed they were a long ways off in a field looking for it.
My Torpedo started knocking pretty good and Mike Robison helped me decide it might be the fourth rod or rear main so I took a shim out of each side. Not a really fun job on a 3 dip pan but certainly doable.
Another fun day tomorrow!

Re: Spokane National Tour
On a tour in Post Falls, Idaho, we came across a mystery crop or two as we toured. Turned out to be mint. They must have had enough mint for all the mint sauce in the USA. Great country to tour in.

Re: Spokane National Tour
This looks like a great tour & one I'm sorry I had to miss.
For those coming home south on 97 through Klamath Falls, the weather is hot & smokey but the roads are currently open. I would love to see anyone who would care to stop by.

Re: Spokane National Tour
I see the later "black touring" has its A/C on due to the extremely hot weather!

That folded windshield looks like Model T A/C to me.
My '23 Runabout was very hot in the cockpit when I bought it. I plugged a few of the holes in the firewall, wrapped the exhaust pipe with an asbestos like material and a pal installed a pedal shield on the floor board. This all made a big difference and now I only feel the heat from the motor when it gets very hot as it has been here lately. My dogs do get roasted when the temps get up in the 90s!

Flat tire today, so my wife broke out the clown nose and reminded me that we are having fun.
She is so awesome!
