Never heard of too much. Finally added brass head light rims last Wednesday night. All shined up for a local show last Thursday night.

What bling? Would not even start to call what is on it "bling".

Nice T Neil. A little stove black on your front crossmember, spring and axle to cover the rust stains would make ‘er look even nicer. Just a thought :). Jim Patrick

The back springs were all taken apart last fall and painted with slip paint. Whole rear ended cleaned and painted. Front end this fall.

Modern lighting is a no-go, in my book. Some people like the Ford script
across the radiator. To me it looks like the way people put big stickers across
their windshield header these days. As if any moron could not tell your F-250
isn't a Ford ! My rule of thumb is, that if it would not have been there during
the originbal "life" of the vehicle, it probably just looks wrong. But that's just
me. Everyone gets to do with their cars what they want. 👍
More people are doing it today than ever before !

Mr. Burger in Spokane brings into focus a perplexing issue. From my first Model T in 1962 until this year I was completely in his camp. If Mr. Ford didn't put it on the car then it shouldn't be there. However, this year it finally occurred to me that conditions on the road have changed, changed a lot. I have now accumulated enough years to realize that I am not immortal, that maybe some auxiliary lighting might prolong my life. My solution, based on personal experience, has been to designate cars in my collection for different purposes. The 1912 Ford and the 1910 Buick Model 10 in which I tour are getting turn signals, brake lights, and tail lights. I will try to keep the acetylene headlights and the kerosene side and tail lights. The other cars do not tour, so they can remain as close to stock as is humanly possible. Lights on the Buick are beyond essential. With the drive on the right-hand side nobody can see my hand signals. I am affixing the auxiliary lighting in such a manner that they can be quickly removed or hidden should it ever be beneficial to appear "correct". Mr. Regan's magneto battery charger will keep it all functioning as LED lights require so little electricity. My heart tells me that the auxiliary lighting is a huge mistake. My brain says otherwise.

The issue of authenticity is good and I am trying to stay with that idea more and more as time goes by. On the other hand, I have installed a second taillight on the passenger side on both of my T’s with all of the stop and directional lightbulbs hidden inside the light bodies and not noticeable from view. I have been told on tour that the T driver following me needed sunglasses every time I put on my brake lights. Appearantly they and modern car drivers may notice my intention to stop or slow down and I won’t end up being a hood ornament for the preoccupied texting and too busy looking elsewhere modern driver. Times are changing, modern car drivers don’t care what we drive, just get it moving and out of their way or they will run right over us. Just my thought. Frank

After getting got out after dark one ride I added the led strip. Running light and brake light. It’s attached with wing nuts and a three prong plug. Can be removed in less then a minute
