A great lady has passed away.

Post by Erik Barrett » Mon Aug 30, 2021 4:51 pm

I was saddened today to learn that Sue Schneckloth died recently. She was a regular on National tours with her 1924 runabout. I cared for the car for many years. It had been built by Louis Rector for the Montana 500 and needed some serious love before touring here in hill country. Every year I would get a call from Sue to do a checkup on it for the coming tour season. That call didn’t come this year. When she did call me she asked me to come and get the model T and keep it going. She was pleased when I told her I was passing it on to my daughter. RIP Sue.

Sorry to hear that. I knew Sue before she was involved in Ts. She was a senior auditor for FTB. Her and Ken, a former assistant chief counsel and my boss, were constant companions. They attended many tours together. I don't believe she was much older than myself, a semi young 75 year old. LOL

So sorry to read this Erik 😞
Obviously she thought highly of you
to pass along her car.
Glad to hear you are keeping it in the family.

I took Sue’s T out for a ride yesterday. Great running car, very long legs, wants to go fast. Part of its heritage as a Montana racer. I put a KC Warford in it for Sue for the hills.
