The red paint is a dead giveaway that is the best option out there! BUT- Need to see the combustion chamber to be sure!

CC a combustion chamber. If you post the # I/we can compare the # to other heads for compression ratio. These heads in general dont have much compression boost. It is very cool, but a Prus head would be cheaper with a definite compression/performance boost.
What does the chamber look like? Stock compression with a crow foot chamber is an upgrade on its own.

Some of the heads made back in the day, like Waukesha Ricardo, were never made for high speed increase, they had better combustion chamber design for more low end power. As I recall, the Himico and Waukesha Ricardo were more targeted at trucks, then cars, as were early models of RAJO's where they needed bottom end pulling power. Not saying that they would not help at the upper RPMs.
I too, would think that one of the more modern high compression heads might be a better choice esp on the pocket book. Now the cool factor of having a rare head, that head might be great.

I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

I saw a photo recently of that Himco head. It appears identical to a Ricardo or Giant Power. They improve combustion, but don't give much of a boost in power.
