Wooden Steering Wheels

Post by mtntee20 » Wed Sep 01, 2021 10:38 pm

I remember a man making outstanding wooden steering wheel replacement outer wheel rims. I cannot find his advertising, his name, or the products he used to sell on eBay. I am certain many of us know who he is and have some of his wheels. Some of the best made and most beautiful wheels out there.

Please help me out with his name, and I can go from there.

Thank You,

I believe Jim Guinn of Guinn Wood Bands is also making wood steering wheel rims. Give him a call.

Yes, https://woodbykevinallen.com/index.html

I got the whole wheel (with spider, because the keyway in my spider was worn) and a matching knob for my Ruckstell.

Worth every penny.

I recall a guy in the chocolate field that made perfect one piece steering wheels just like originals. This was at least six years ago. I hope he is still making them. The were exact duplicates.

Noah Stutzman made a wood wheel for me for a fat man wheel I already had with a bad rim. Red oak. Great job and very reasonable. It took him a while but was well worth the wait!
