Re: Help with steam engine id?
Try Smokestack, and list it in the steam forum. You might get lucky, just be aware there were a lot of jobbers building engines, some with very limited production. Good luck, Kevin

Sorry you will need to go to www.oldengine.com, and then go to the smokestack forum.

Closest I could find. for "Vertical Steam Engine". There are many similar in shape but none with the same dual fly wheels. These were used in small locomotives, boats etc

Re: Help with steam engine id?
most likely what you have is a Kerwood, made for sears and many other outlets, the only way to find for sure is the casting numbers IF there are any,, i have owned several over the years, i have a picture taken of me 50 years ago at a show with one i saved, it ran a sausage grinder in a butcher shop,in the day not every one had electric wiring and motors to do the work but they had boilers, i will find the photo to show, that type engine was refered to as a bottle engine, depending on boiler pressure 4-6 hp,

That last photo is of a duplex pump
Steam cylinders on one side and the pump cylinders on the other. Used as a boiler feed pump.
