Looking for a ball bearing universal ball cap = ?

Hi,

Is anybody knowing how to get the Model T part "Ball Bearing Universal ball cap, no machining to the tail shaft required" ?

Usual Model T parts suppliers, Lang's (Part 3369BBD), Snyder's, Mac's, Texas T .... say that they have been without getting any during the last 12 months

Would somebody have one (or several) available ? Or would know what factory it comes from ? I was told it is manufactured/made in the US

Some of our French mate are looking for this device for a while and we look forward more information on this Part

You only need one gasket and it goes on the side facing the engine.

I am in that camp.
When you cut the ball (lessening the BALL joint function), Cut the minimum @ the top, Perpendicular to the ground as installed.
Anybody else see one of those brass units take a hard hit & break?

To be fair, you should explain what would cause that. I do see a difference in design of the two ball bearing units. One has a very short collar compared to an original or the other bearing model. That would concern me. In addition, how would one do a "press" fit of the ball cap bearing to the tail/main shaft such that flange of the ball cap would fit properly with just enough room for one gasket towards the engine? For these o work the shaft has to fit tightly on the bearing sleeve.
