‘25 Coupe Quarter Window Stuck….
Cannot find any pictures in my books and this one window is stuck solid and I cannot get it to move. The sliding side piece unlocks fine but no amount of pressure downward gets the glass to move. Even slid a sharp knife between the glass and felt to make sure the glass was not stuck to the felt. Passenger side works fine but the drivers side will not move. I guess I will take the seat out, then the panel on the wall but looking down with a flashlight into the area shows no obstruction. Any ideas before I break something?

Does this car have the crank-type windows?

This shows the lower portion with no glass. It might help seeing what is down there. The glass channel is cocked a bit.

This is a '23 Fordor rear quarter. It's similar and may show what's going no there clearer.

Re: ‘25 Coupe Quarter Window Stuck….
Perhaps the spring-loaded arm (roller should be under the bottom window frame) which assists in raising the window has slipped to the outside of the window, thus jamming it. Another possibility is that the roller on the arm has broken or chipped, but that shouldn't stop the window from working, just making it more difficult. Can't find all my photos of that area on my '25 coupe, but perhaps these, along with others posted, would help visualized what is happening. Upholstery side panel likely will have to be loosened.

Re: ‘25 Coupe Quarter Window Stuck….
Thank you all for the pictures, links and thoughts. Earlier I took some of the garnish moulding off and was easily able to push down on the spring loaded assist with a long screwdriver so removing the rest of the moulding and side panel is the best way to find out what might be going on. The whole set up is so simple I am curious what might be hanging up….

If you have mud daubers in your area, they specialize in using mud to jam mechanisms. They will find a way into enclosed spaces and build nests in and on things like the window mechanism.

We live on Bessie’s Creek here West of Houston and at our location it is 85 yards across and have ton’s of mud daubers. So much so I fumigate both barns multiple times a year to get rid of them. This Model T though spent the last 20 years stored in a warehouse in the desert outside San Diego and is hospital clean from top to bottom.

Re: ‘25 Coupe Quarter Window Stuck….
I have had a door window on my '22 Coupe that only goes down so far. I think the glass is digging into the reproduction window felt channel I put in a few years ago. That may be due to the glass being too wide or not wide enough.
That might be a possible cause.

I’ll report back in after this weekend when I have time to dive further into this project. I thought retirement meant I would have full time to work on my cars. Was I ever wrong…
