Is there any significance to the markings on the spring perch boss on this front axle, or is it just someone’s way to identify left and right for reassembly? The axle is off of my ‘24 Touring.

Re: Front Axle Markings
The axle it's self has no left or right but the perches and spindles do. Maybe just marked by someone to reassemble the same way it came apart.

Re: Front Axle Markings
That’s what I suspected but just wanted to make sure. I knew the front axle is ambidextrous, but I’m a bit OCD about putting things back to tether the way they come apart, so that’s what I’ll do.

Re: Front Axle Markings
Are the TT axle the same as a car? Could this be to identify a ton truck axle ?

Re: Front Axle Markings
In mid-April 1919 Ford started making the change in the front radius rod from mounting above the front axle to below. This required a new design of the front spring perches and initially this change was only for the TT truck. Perhaps this was a way for the workers to know that this axle was destined for the TT truck assembly line. How this axle ended up as part of your 1924 T touring is up to question, or perhaps the TT stamping has nothing to do my speculation.
