Off topic, 35 Ford panel van

Post by scdiver » Tue Dec 14, 2021 11:54 am

The wealth of knowledge on this board is amazing so I am coming to you guys for help. My brother drove his 35 Ford Panel van into the back of a stopping car. and extensively damaged his truck. The shop that originally did the restoration has it for fixing.
This is the problem. He needs a grill. This grill fits a 35 truck only. A 34 or a 36 or a car grill will not work.He needs the whole grill. and is willing to pay what it takes.
If anyone can help me please pm me, By the way, we live in St. Louis.

Thanks
Steven Thum

Who does he have it insured with? Some companies, such as Hagerty offer a parts locating service.

I might be able to help you out, and I'm actually just outside of St Louis. Give me a week or two to go over the parts pile and I'll let you know.

What makes the 1935 grill different. It would help to find a correct one. Looking at images on the web & nothing stands out. The '35 picture has the chrome bezel and hood badge - the '36 has the holes form them to be inserted. NOTE the dates were from the details about them on the internet. They could be incorrect

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.

35 V8 truck grille is a one-off part.

You'd be better off searching over at the hot rod HAMB website than here, it's a great website if you are not familiar. Some V8 hot rodder will have it. No one has that modem stuff here...

Rudders makes a 35 V8 truck repo as you probably already know.

There's supposedly that one on ebay. Make you brother straighten it so he learns to pay attention
