What did I buy?

Post by jwrightjr » Fri Feb 11, 2022 6:38 pm

I picked this coil up in Findlay Ohio at Jefferies Antique Mall last weekend. I have a few boxes of coils but never seen one like this so of coarse I had to buy it (along with several other things :D ). Is this a Heinz coil? It sorta looks like some pictures I have seen but has a few differences. Experts?

A Heinze coil of that vintage might have the word "Heinze" engraved in a circle on the nuts on top of it.

The pictures I have seen only have 1 adjustment screw. This one has two obviously and the only writing on it says "Adjust Here".

Looks like a Heinze to me.

I go to Jeffrey's every so often, over many years. Never found anything fun like that!

Found a few things there 2 Stewart spotlights, this coil (3 others I didn't buy that were just regular and in bad shape) Walker jack handle, several Ford wrenches I didn't need but felt the need to rescue, rouge tool tags, several 26-27 wheels (front and rear). Last weekend I went to Maumee Antique mall and bought a NH carb, intake and a very nice motor horn. Really have to look for some of this stuff. Usually pushed to the back because nobody really knows what it is. Hoarding truly is a thing..........
Kind Regards

Forum search found this from the late great early coil expert :| :

Seems that coil came from a Model K Ford!
