Seat Cushion Springs on 1927 Coupe

Post by BLB27 » Sun Feb 27, 2022 9:21 pm

I set the seat cushion in my coupe. I was surprised how much of a slope it had as shown in the first photo. It fit right onto the supports so the slope must be correct. Any comments?

I now notice, looking at the second photo, that the rear of the wood frame is held up off of the floor by the metal piece in the middle of the floor. I am not at the garage to check but maybe the wood frame is to go under this piece!

I have also attached photos of the two cushion springs.

I believe it's supposed to have that angle. It's better with the cushion angled like that than a seat with less angle for riding comfort and helping to keep people in the seat during braking.

Here is a picture of the seat in my 26 Coupe. The angle looks to be the same.
