Rebuild U&J Brass Carb

Hello all,

I've been lurking the forums for the last couple of years. Recently I was able to track down my father's old Speedster that he had sold 8 years ago. He recently passed and it became very important for me to get a hold of it. With the blessing of my lovely fiancee I have purchased it and took possession of it. That being said it needs a decent amount of work to get it back into running order. I am currently tracking down a no spark condition but I also am needing the carb rebuilt. I have taken it apart many times and after cranking awhile it overflows at the upper shaft near where it bolts to the intake. I have looked all over the forum and can't seem to find any kits for it and sadly I see Stan Howe who looked to be the very man you wanted to rebuild it has passed. Is there anyone else who would be a good candidate to rebuild this? I'd like to stick with this setup since this was the way my father had built it himself. Also the bowl on the carb looks to be a newer one. Not the cracked brass like the early bowls had done. Any information pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated. Side note; I normally like working on modern cars or older tractors but it seems this model T is so fascinating that it is pulling me into this hobby VERY quickly. I hope to be very involved in this community.

Great carburetor Bryce. Corey Walker did a good job rebuilding my U&J but I’d also recommend Scott Conger.
