Fender rivet size?
I suspect this is one of those parts that's the same for all years, but the particular car in question is a 1915. What size are the rivets that hold the brackets to the fenders? I need to remove the brackets to repair some fender cracks, and will need to install new rivets.
The inevitable often happens.

Difference due to quantities and/or sizes ?

Re: Fender rivet size?
A lot of the rivets in Jim's catalogue are listed only by size. He does specify ¼ x ¾ brazier head for front fenders, but I don't see anything listed for rear. That's why I asked about size. I'll ask him.
Lang's catalogue shows a ? for 13-16.
If Jim doesn't have them long enough for the rear, I'll ask Mister Google.

Re: Fender rivet size?
Snyder's says truss head! Looked in Lang's offerings again. Used a different heading for 1913-16. Truss or oval. that is the questionSteve Jelf wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 1:18 pmA lot of the rivets in Jim's catalogue are listed only by size. Re: Fender rivet size?
One online source says truss and brazier are synonyms. I suppose I can get truss heads, and if the heads are too big I can turn them down in the lathe to match the originals.

Re: Fender rivet size?
I had been looking at rivets, entirely different application., and yes came across the same definitions truss= brazier. This site gives all dimensions (head sizes been the one of interest crown & diameter) for oval & truss https://prairierivet.com/products/solid-rivets/ doubt if the buck needs to careSteve Jelf wrote: ↑Tue Mar 01, 2022 2:58 pmOne online source says truss and brazier are synonyms. Re: Fender rivet size?
The question you are not getting answered is what is the "correct" head diameter & profile, diameter & length. Outside of measuring your original rivets(less paint build up), I dont have the answer. Maybe this comment will steer others to your needed answer.

Re: Fender rivet size?
How many you needing Steve ? I believe I have some left that Otis Clinton machined back in the 60's & 70's from original Ford NOS parts.
