Looking for Mark Romano of New York and his beautiful 1915 Speedster with Rootlieb body that was featured in the February 2005 Hemings Classic Car magazine. Anyone see him at cruise ins or local car shows? Thanks! 314-287-1901 Would like to discuss his car with him. Photo below.

Looks like the car is built using a complete Rootlieb Speedster kit including body, fenders and hood. If you need more information about the body, contact Rootlieb. I've built six of them using the Rootlieb kit. A great way to build a T speedster.

"Which is what Mark Romano decided to do with his 1915 Model T. Mark, a mechanic from Elizaville, New York, bought a 1915 Model T chassis specifically as a base for a speedster kit....oth front and rear fenders on Mark's "straight-fender" kit-which shoot out at a dramatic 45-degree angle from the runningboards before becoming perfectly horizontal-were patterned off the fenders on early Mercers, according to Tom Rootlieb. Rootlieb's "round-fender" kit, however, replicates the swoopy fenders on the 1911 runabouts, built to just clear a lowered chassis."

Mark took the drums on his existing axle and another pair of rear drums and converted them both, along with lined brake shoes, to accept hydraulic wheel cylinders from a Volkswagen Jetta.
