What is wrong with a good used drum?

Probably discontinued due to low demand. That's one of the original parts so plentiful they're hard to give away.

One of my drums is cracked and I have never picked up any used ones to have around. I thought I would try the venders first before looking for a used one. Dan

I wish cast iron drums were available for Model Ts, like they are for Model As. I suspect they would provide a higher friction coefficient for external band brakes.

Nash Metropolitan drums are the right size and with a bit of work on a lathe on the inner face and re drilling the bolt holes they work fine. They are also reproduced and not terribly expensive at $40 or $45 each).
