1914 touring

Post by Rich P. Bingham » Thu Apr 14, 2022 10:44 am

My granddad used to say, "Every picture tells a story." I wonder what this story is ? Probably Depression era, two young men looking for work, most likely prospects in Wyo at the time, herding sheep or shoveling hay. Or maybe they went broke in Wyoming ?

"Wyoming ARE bust"???? "ARE"??? Well, we can be pretty sure they're not unemployed grammar school teachers looking for work...

I can tell you a bit about the photo.
"My grandfather Lee Patterson (left) and his friend Delwin Jackson left their homes in Laredo, Grundy County, Missouri to find work in Wyoming in 1929. They were both eventually employed by a Mr. Armstrong to "break broncs." The trip took a scant "3 days and 2 nights.""
