8553 Jack is it Ford?

Post by ivaldes1 » Fri Jul 22, 2022 11:48 pm

See attached pictures, I picked this jack up at an estate sale. It has 8553 on it but no Ford script. Is it Ford? Also how do I get or make a handle? According to this 2008 thread http://www.mtfca.com/discus/messages/50 ... 1230658292 they look like twins.

It looks similar to a TT jack (3389) but isn't. There are many old truck jacks of that type, but not all are Ford. Very rarely do they still have a handle with them.
The inevitable often happens.

The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.
