Need pic of classco and brown side light / cowl lights
I'm missing the side lights on a 1915 Canadian touring car. According to the judging book the 15 Canadian touring should have Classco and Brown side lights. Looking for a picture so i know what I need to start looking for.
Can someone post a pic. I'm not a side lamp / cowl light expert. Thanks

They say the 4th photo here is a Classco.

Hi Brian
Here are some pictures of '15 black and brass Clasco lights from my '15 Canadian T. By the way, Clasco has only one C.
I have found and seen may '15 brass top lights here with plain tops and a smaller amount that are actually stamped Clasco, Model 8 and Model 9. Its my theory that they were slow tooling up for the new '15 style lamps and with the high import taxes for car parts may has slipped over a lot of plain brass tops while waiting for tooling to be finish to stamp the Clasco markings.
The lamps like the US ones should have a spherical inside reflector. If it has the one with the flat angled corners, its a later body with early trim.
They also made both left and right hand versions of the tailights with the clear lens on the opposite sides. The right hand cars mount the tailights on the right hand sides.
Clasco also made a lot of similar lamps without markings and sold them through aftermarket vendors for both Ford and other brands of cars, which may also explain some of the plain top lights.
Stay well.

Re: Need pic of classco and brown side light / cowl lights
In my experience, the 1915 side and tail lights had brass tops and door rims. These went away in 1916. Part of the picture with these brass trimmed lamps is the round interior reflector, often referred to as a "diver's helmet" These are also brass, which was not polished before it was nickel plated, so it has a less than shiny appearance.

Thanks George. That's not what I was expecting. Glad I asked!
