What the heck

Post by Tmooreheadf » Fri Nov 04, 2022 9:04 pm

We just completed a five day run in TN with about thirty cars. Had a great time.
One of the car owners, in his 80’s, needed some help with a repair. Several of us jumped in and low and behold, I was the guy on my back under the car looking up.
Under the driver side splash apron was a clear plastic tube. After wiping it down, it wound up being the remnants of a neon under car lamp, like the kids put on. When I asked the owner, who we’ve known for years, about the lamp, his answer was not very precise and his face was rather red. Pretty much end of inquiry.
You just don’t know what the heck you’re gonna find under a T!😃

It's never too late for a Happy Childhood!

I just glad you didn't find any kind of hidden:
water pump
L.E.D. headlight bulbs
Alternator
Marvelous Mystery Oil Dispenser
Disc Brakes......... :D

Everything works in theory.
Reality is how you determine if something works or not.

So was it a light kit or just the tube used as a pee funnel? Seriously, that was my first thought.

Yep. Sounds like a good, ole' fashioned relief tube to me. I'm willing to bet the old guy spent some time in the Air Force.
