1909 upholstery

Post by Michael Paul » Sun Oct 23, 2022 12:06 pm

Hi all, just a few questions about my upholstery project.
1. Button spacing seems to be 3" on center for the front seat back, and 3 1/2" on the front seat bottom.
The rear is 3 1/2" on center for the back and bottom.

It's been a few years since I've done tufting, I had several books with layout patterns but after two moves they've run off , I'm sure it was gremlins.

Does anyone have a layout pattern? The buttons on the 09 touring I looked at seem to be 9/16" is this correct?
How many square feet of hide?
Any help appreciated.
By the way, Keith I've finally found the 1911 patterns, I'll send them off right away.
Mike
