Duplex universal tire carrier

Post by Belliott3 » Thu Oct 26, 2023 12:36 pm

Is anyone familiar with this particular spare tire carrier? I’m wondering how it would attach to T and if it would hold a Demountable tire?

Doesn't attach to the car. Attaches to existing spare tire rim. Have one on the shelf if interested

Interesting, thanks for clearing that up Frank! I was hoping it would attach to the side of the car, since I have a ‘16 touring with Demountable’s and I don’t have the rear tire carrier. And one won’t work on this car because of the tail lamp location. What I really need is the carrier below the Duplex ad you attached, that mounts to the running board! Anyone have one by chance???

This particular unit you show is unusual in that its designed for 2 different rim diameters.
The typical has arms that add another rim of the same size giving you 2 spares.

I'm fairly certain that Bob Bergstat (aka FATMAN - Bob's Antique Auto Parts) has repair parts for them so... at least earlier this year (room immediately behind front, second aisle on the left. I have a D that I was thinking of fixing
