Carb
This is pic of the head on the Speedster I just bought. It is on it's way. What flavor and model carb might this be. TYhe car has not run for a couple of years. What would be advisable, clean the carb, rebuild it, or replace it?

Holley 12R-3892-B or Holley 1904

A Zenith HP5A would have likely come with the head. It will make it go like it should and is a nice bit of BLING.

Yeah they were on different 6 cylinder engines, I had one on a 1956 F100 6 cylinder. Easy carb to replace, however I’d find something more fitting to go with a Frontenac like a downdraft Winfield myself.

After restoration (to include the gnarly throttle arm as well), this would be best at home on a Frontenac.

The HP5A is a great carb if you can find a good one that's jetted right and you have some spare change. I ran one for quite a few years but never got it quite right on the jets. I committed heresy and went with a modern carb that runs better. Sold the Zenith to a fellow on the East coast. I've got most of a broken one but it needs repairs and a new venturi. I had emailed Stan a few times about an adjustable jet but he never came through for me. I guess he was busy with other more pressing stuff and complete rebuilds that paid better.
