Air Friction Carb

Post by Harry Lillo » Sun Feb 19, 2023 8:53 pm

Jay had posted an ad for an Air Friction Carb. It got me thinking.
They show up at swap meets fairly regularly and don't demand a high price.
Does anyone here have experience in running one on their Model T?
How did it start? Any increase/decrease in performance?

My father ran one for many years on his 1914 Touring. I still have it. He bought the car barnfresh with it already installed, and saw no issue with it. It was a gimmicky carb designed to save gas. We attended many a tour with it.
