Rocky Mtn brakes

Post by Dennis_Brown » Mon Mar 06, 2023 11:35 pm

Looking at the pictures of a set for sale and I have questions.
Does the yoke with the rods attach to the hand brake cross shift. When applying is the short double clevis rod hooked to the yoke and the extension on the brake pedal and thereby causing the yoke to rock and pull on the brake rods or is the clevis attached above the brake pedal shift and pulling on the yoke causing it to rock and pull or push the rods?

You had it right the first time. Rod from pedal to equalizer pushes, equalizer rocks, and brake rods pull

I'm sure what Dennis is refering to are the currently manufactured Rocky Mountain Brakes. Made in Temecula Ca. These have better stopping because of the large drums. The original Rocky mountain used the small drums of the T. The ones currently available are similar to the AC brakes.
