WIZZ body paint
I have an unopened quart can of WIZZ black enamel paint from the 1930s. WIZZ cans are deemed collectable. I wo under what to do with it. Open it and use it and then sell the can? Or should I take it to a swap meet as is? Or should I just keep it along with someother WIZZ items I have. At my age (almost 91) I am starting to think of what I should my my "stuff".

Sell it as is and let the next owner weigh options for themselves.

Bring it with the rest of your goodies to this Sunday's advertising show at the Bloomington K of C.
Robert and I plan to be there.

Re: WIZZ body paint
Maybe its 90 years of remaining intact speaks for itself, but honestly, old cans of paint kind of concern me. I've had several really old cans begin to seep, either corroding through from the inside out, or visa-versa. Besides making a mess, I'm naturally concerned about fires.

I will post a photo. The can is as found dirt and all. It is solid. Has one dent, but no holes.

The can of Whiz paint. Circa 1928 --see cartoon on the can - the auto is from the late 1920s. I plan on keep;ing the can, but will; bring it to the show on Sunday just to show it off.

That simply must be sold as-is...not even cleaned up...just "as-is".

Re: WIZZ body paint
Thanks for starting this thread Darel, and Rich for adding to it. What fun ! Whiz had a full line of products to keep your car well maintained. I like the little gnome guys !
The cars look mid to late teens - I wonder how long they kept the labeling ? Maybe the gnomes fathered the Pep Boys ?

I have a later Whiz can, probably from the 1940s, It is more standard in appearance.

This morning, I did see Darel and Laverna Leipold at the North Star Historical Bottle Assocation Annual Antique Bottle, Advertising, and Stoneware Show and Sale.
Unfortunately, he did not bring his can of Whiz to the event.....

Re: WIZZ body paint
I used to have a very colorful WHIZ leaf spring lubricant can with a spout straight off the top that must have been at least a foot long.

Re: WIZZ body paint
Hi, here it is, the Whiz anti-squeak lubricant. It is all original with the long spout. Very rare. Darel, you can see it at our swap meet Saturday if you come, Thanks, Bob. P.P. it is not for sale.

Re: WIZZ body paint
That is truly delightful. Thanks for posting it.
A Swap Meet should be a great place to take a Whiz!
