Could this be a Model T amp gauge. It has a flat bezel.

The 20-0-20 range, Ford script face plate, flat bezel and dark background behind the pointer appear to be an original . Assumed it will fit a 1-5/8" hole. I'm a little uncertain about case because of the indented bar on the back & that the bezel appears to be a bit loose around it, should be a toght fit unless the bezel has some splits (need to check some). The rubber knobs are repro.. In any case polish up the bezel should be nickle finish - it looks good!
The past is a great place and I don't want to erase it or to regret it, but I don't want to be its prisoner either.
