1911 Roadster/Torpedo with Frontenac
Are there folks out there that are familiar with the Frontenac conversions on the T engines?
I am considering purchasing a 1911 Roadster Torpedo that has the Frontenac conversion but has not run in several
years and I am not familiar with them.

Re: 1911 Roadster/Torpedo with Frontenac
That's a pretty hot setup and I think you'd be thrilled with the performance if you're used to a standard stock "T".
Getting it running will take all of the standard "fixes" to clean up, clean out, prep and crank with one exception. You don't feed these things with a stock carburetor, so if there is any gummed up fuel in the carb(s) you will be wise to seek advice and post pictures of the carb BEFORE TOUCHING ANY ADJUSTMENTS. Under the presumption that it was a runner before its nap, it could/should be a runner now, but if you fiddle injudiciously with the carb before it's running, that may be your undoing. In general, if it needs rebuilding, if it is a brass carb, plan on $600 or so for a thorough rebuild and adjustment. It's the price you pay for having a performance set up.
Best of luck on your research and purchase(?), and be sure to post pictures if you buy it.

Thanks Scott, it was a running car the older owner passed away it must have a different transmission as it only
has 2 pedals on the floor a 2 other shifters in the floor. The car is out of town so I haven't put my eye on it just pictures.

Well, the Frontenac is the least of your worries as far as knowing what you're getting into given what you mentioned regarding the transmission.
Your best bet is to take a ton of pictures and consult with Les Schubert and Hank Lee, and possibly others who I am unaware of. I mention these two guys as they have experience with modifications that you are mentioning. With these kinds of modifications, it is not a stretch to suggest that one or the other of these fellows might know about this car or its creator.
You didn't ask about value, but it is a subject which you will eventually have to tackle if you fall in love with this thing...As far as paying for this thing, the real question is: Is this a Model T Torpedo with original early engine and original parts, which is one type of financial calculation, or is this a Torpedo-bodied speedster, not particularly original, but very capable of making speed? Each has it's proponents and fans, but they do not always cross over to the other side!
