Our 1923 Ford Model T Touring Car "Hazel" - She Turns 100 Years Old!

Post by jwilliams81 » Mon Jun 12, 2023 9:37 am

Hello everyone,
This past month was the one I was waiting for since I bought the Model T almost 2 years ago. On May 2, 1923 the engine in our car was 1 of 6,515 units that were produced at the Highland Park plant! In honor of her birthday, the entire month of May was a celebration of my car. She was driven to work everyday the weather was nice and we even took her on a 200 mile road trip.

I made a video to mark the occasion, check it out and let me know what you think!

These cars are magical!

Well done!
For those who don't recall John (Johann) Roebling, he was famous for building the Brooklyn Bridge.

I live 31 miles from Roebling, where the Brooklyn Bridge suspension wire was manufactured.

The entire facility except for the gantry crane skeleton was demolished as a superfund site clean-up.

When I first moved here, it was still standing

Thank you sir! Yes, our bridge was the "first try" bridge before he went on to build the Brooklyn Bridge.
