Simpson 55 Volt Meter for Allen HCCT

I have an Allen HCCT with an original amp meter and a replacement Simpson 55 volt meter. Does anyone know a source for the housing that Bob Scherzer used that made the replacement Simpson meter look more like the original? The picture is from this forum and is one that was posted by Bob.

I would check with Bob Cascisa to see what he may be able to do for you.

He’s the meter expert.

I talked with Bob at Luray and told him I had two original back plates and one repro, three sets of those lights, and no mounting rings.

Evidently no one else does either!

I tried to encourage Bob to make some of those, as he does have the Allen Backing plates now.

Someone told me you could use plastic pipe for those mounting rings.

I have not tried it!

I have discussed this with my machinist guy.
We plan to make a batch of these but it won’t be until after the national tour in June.
They would be sculpted to look like an original meter.
The material would be aluminum.

I drive a Model T ... Microseconds don't matter :D

For every Absolute Model T Fact there are at least three exceptions.
