icons in classified section

Post by SteveBoothroyd » Sat Jul 08, 2023 4:20 pm

I have been away in England and just got back home.
I've noticed lots of icons in the classified section; an eyeball flashing yellow to red, a ghost face, and a star.
I assume that the flashing eyeball is a warning about the seller, and a star is a good seller, but what is a ghost face; someone who fails to complete the deal?
Thanks for any info.

Regards,

Steve Boothroyd

Hover your mouse over the icon, it will explain....most are just "un-read posts" , meaning you haven't looked at it!

I just noticed some that I have never seen before last week and I have been here a while. So maybe there are some new ones or some were changed. Or it could have been there was a large group of them in a row so they popped out more. ;)
I know the voices aren't real but damn they have some good ideas!

The icons next to a posting are Topic icons are chosen by the author. I assume they are used to to catch attention to viewers & help sellers find their posting more easily. If you hover your mouse pointer over then the have no meaning. On the other hand the emoji's that can be placed in after some text do have meaning. If you hover your mouse pointer over then they will display the meaning. Lastly the circle color to the left of a topic indicates if you read (blue) it or not (red). I use the flashing icon (yellow one bar eye) to catch attention and has nothing to do with with my performance as a seller since I set it. The white circle with 3 dots can be a ghost, bowling ball or radio active symbol - matter of interpretation

We are talking about what you would see over in the lefthand column, where you would see if you have read it or not. This only seems to be in the classifieds. There are several different symbols used, below is just a sample.

I believe I explained where those icons come from just above your response. The circle with lines indicate if you read the most recent response to the post or not (red is you didn't read that yet; blue is no new response entered). The icon in in the lower left is set by the original author & is called the Post Icon, as explained. I changed those (mine) a minute ago to a light bulb
