Sadly all those Americans who may have invested in a 47 star flag back then found it obsolete the next month when Arizona joined the country as a state!

 just for the record, New Mexico was admitted to the Union Jan. 6, 1912, and Arizona Feb. 14, 1912. I wonder how many 47 star flags were made ?

There were some 47 star flags made, but they were never an official US flag. New Mexico wanted some 47 star flags made so they could display them until the 48 star flag became official.

There were some official 49 star versions made, but I don't think I ever saw one.
