Where does the air pump go?

Post by Reno Speedster » Sat Jul 01, 2023 10:23 pm

I have been looking at original air pumps for the T, but I am not sure where I would put it on my 22 RPU. If it had the turtle deck it would go there. If it was a touring car, it could go under the back seat. Did they make a mount for these that I could put somewhere on the bed?

Running board tool box, if you can find one more than 22" long. My box is 22", and the Ford pump almost fits in it.

We might have the same tool box. Mine is 22 inches as well.

I believe in my '21 Roadster it's sitting behind the gas tank, under the seat.

A nicely made wooden running board toolbox can be made to the required dimensions, and mounted to the running board with the same bolts as the running board, so you don't even have to drill holes.

Ford introduced a behind the gas tank tool box in mid year 1925 for the roadster models. It has plenty of room for a tire pump.

This one can go anywhere. Approximate dimensions when folded: length is 13.5 inches x 4.5 inches at widest point. Coiling a hose dimensions?
