Just a 20 year old who listens to 40 year old music, works on 75 year old airplanes and drives 100 year old cars.

I used to fly into Oshkosh almost every year. My biggest surprise there was watching a Harrier hover. This was after the USMC had gotten them. Watching a fighter aircraft hover was just weird. The second thing that I noticed was that it was the loudest noise that I have ever heard from an airplane (or anything else).

I believe that Ford stopped being a major sponsor a couple of years ago. Boeing took their spot, at least they did last year.

No more Model T rides being given there like when Ford was a major sponsor.

A great show. There is a tri motor in the Henry Ford Museum. Northwest Airlines (now Delta) started with several Tri Motors. Tri Motors could take off and land on a short runway. There were used in South American for many years. I remember seeing one in 1938 in Minneapolis at the old Airport.
My brother in law (now deceased) came from California each year for this show. He was a WW11 Marine Airforce veteran, flew a Corsair in the South Pacific. I have a toy TriMotor from about 1930. When pulled, all three props turn.
