Re: An Awesome Day....,
I know were I young and someone offered me a chance to apprentice for something like that I would have jumped at the chance... She might, too, if you offer. I remember a lot of the old craftsmen were either in denial of their age or didn't want their "secret techniques and skills" to get out... so while there were "kids" willing to learn, they either didn't want to "teach yet" or worse, "not at all".Henry K. Don't be one of them!! We all check out of this mortal coil sooner or later, so don't let your legacy be a casualty of that!!

Re: An Awesome Day....,
I had a wonderful day yesterday and came away with so much additional knowledge my brain was ready to explode!
Hank is a wonderful teacher and I plan on returning for additional training in the near future, plus I got to meet his wife, father and two guard puppies!
I learned how to correctly prep metal for welding, how to flange panels, using Cleco clips, mig welding, etc! Great day!!
Plus I got to see several of his finished projects, he is an amazing craftsman!
Thanks again Hank!!

Re: An Awesome Day....,
All that is great to hear. We do meet some exceptional people out there but don't always take time to mention it.
A 20-year-old young lady '42 WWII Jeep and a handful of youngsters at the show yesterday reminded me that they are still out there and have great potential.
Thanks for posting this.
Rich

When did I do that?
