What windshield is this ?

Post by Dan Hatch » Wed Sep 20, 2023 2:18 pm

Does anyone know what this fits? Looks like 23/25 sides but both upper and lower frames swing. I got for my 25 Canadian RHD roadster, the top post mounts for the top are not right. I have found the right windshield and need to sell this one, but what does it fit?
Could it be an earlier Canadian windshield? Email me at address in pictures. Thanks Dan
And size is close to 25 Roadster, but about 1”taller.

I would guess it is an accessory windshield for a Ford. Jay's old photo showed an earlier version for cowl lights that looks much the same to me.

When did I do that?

Maybe the windshield is for an earlier circa 1920-23 Canadian Ford from a different supplier than used in 1924-25 ? Another possibility is it is for a Canadian made C cab TT, the USA C cabs used a taller windshield that the cars, but the ones I have seen are different from that windshield.

I think I saw a Canadian owner manual from late teens or early 20 with a picture of a windshield like this.
Where did the photo from Jay come from? Thanks Dan

Didn't Canadian built Ts have slanted windshields starting about 1920? I don't know how the height would compare. They also had one-man tops beginning about then.
One of my first thoughts also was Canadian C-cab TT.

Yes they went to slant before we did.
You want a fun project try building a RHD Canadian 25 Roadster Pickup in Alabama.

I would agree with '20 to 23ish Canadian T, starter car windshield. I have an identical one in the storage barn and have seen a couple on Canadian Ts.
