Steve Jelf 9/29 AM

Post by DHort » Wed Sep 27, 2023 1:24 am

I cannot pull over the post that Molly put on FB.

Steve said 'Tell everyone that I am enjoying my existence in Indiana, but I don't want to make permanent residence here! Please tell everyone that I am looking forward to seeing them all soon.'

He can talk on the phone, and he prefers to be in rehab close to home.

Thank you so much Dave H for the update! I suspect there are a lot of people here that check often on the forum for any news about Steve J! I know I do.

He needs to get the insurance settlement first before doing anything to the car. Then next he needs to be well enough to drive again. Then he can decide for himself what to do about the car. There might be some salvageable parts to save and others need to replaced. He may rather drive one of his other T's or choose a different one for a replacement. Then we can help him find or construct what he wants.

Steve's car is safe in Dallas' barn. It can sit there as long as it has to. I do not think anyone has shown Steve a picture of what it looks like. He is improving daily, but better to just tell him it is safe.

Saturday I plan to visit Steve. Will probably call him before that. We may discuss it then if he is ready. If not, it can wait till he is. Its safe and dry. I will discuss draining the radiator and making it roll again depending on his ins. and his wishes. I hope he can get on the forum before too long and join our thoughts.

Let's not let this fade away to forum history. The goal still hasn't been met.

Steve slept a good chunk of the day today. Nurse said he is doing really well and has surprised everyone with is progress.
He is eating well and conversing well when he is awake.

Hopefully Molly will find him awake tomorrow.

Sorry for late post. I am watching the Packers.
