The gas cap is a 2-1/8" x 14 TPI thread.

It is a fairly common size, going by the number of alternative fuel caps that will fit. These include the knobby die-cast caps from older Ford son tractors, our 205 litre oil and fuel drums, English Ford 8 and 10 hp car radiator tanks, and others no doubt.

This is a 10 gallon round gas tank on a '15 Roadster.
The mount bands, shape and size of the tank are the same as the tank on my '16 Touring.
The cap however, is the same thread as a five gallon "jerry" can.
A Jerry can cap fits perfectly. (second photo)
Yet another Model T mystery.

I drive a Model T ... Microseconds don't matter :D

For every Absolute Model T Fact there are at least three exceptions.
