Steve's GoFund me acct

Post by DHort » Sun Nov 05, 2023 10:12 am

I dont know who is in charge. I wish someone could contact the family and if someone from the Parker clan is hesitating to visit Steve due to cost, let them have some funding. I think one of the best things Steve could have to help with recovery is a visit from family. 10 of us could visit, but it is not the same when family is there. He may still be resting most of the time, but I am sure a visit would help.

Thank you for bringing this up. Since as far as I know, Steve and his family are unaware of the accounts existence. I hope the go fund me wasn't a con job.

I don’t know about Steve’s family situation or the advantages of family visits over the visits of friends. I know if I was in the hospital, I would much prefer visits from friends I know truly care for me as opposed to a sister who I have never, ever gotten along with. Some people are imbued with negativity that is not needed by a patient recovering from a bad brain injury. Jim Patrick

I hope that the account is legit.
I brought Steve's condition to the attention of our local T club and we decided to donate. I would encourage others to do the same if they haven't already done so.
This might be a good place to ask this; how do you donate to the go fund me? Do you need paypal? I do not know if our club has anything more than checks...?

Another concern I have is who is looking after Steve's house? Steve's crash was during warm weather. With temps dropping to freezing in Kansas, has anyone turned on the heat and checked the propane level? I would hate to have Steve arrive home to find broken pipes.

I agree with the concerns mentioned above.

Im sure hoping that Steve’s affairs are in order and him owning a business at one time would seem to indicate that they are. Who actually started the go fund me page. That might be something people need to know. If you’ve given out your personal information that might be a concern for some people.
I find it very hard to give out personal information theses days when it comes to money even it’s for the best intentions.
Sometimes it’s surprising how things get overlooked when accidents, health situations arise and forgotten about and we find out about it when it should have been taken care of.
