Intake valves have 2 springs

Post by tshults1@comcast.net » Thu Nov 09, 2023 2:45 pm

I removed the valves on my 26 Roadster. Look like originals. Every intake valve had an additional spring installed directly below the valve head so it would apply pressure upwards to open the valve . Not sure if this was a common aftermarket fix for sticky valves? Anyone come across this with your valves? I can't find if these springs are still available but hopefully this will be a moot issue as I am replacing all valves with new ones. Thanks

Fitted to inlet valves to try and stop oil on worn guides, ream guides and fit over size valves.
