I’m tearing the house down looking for the Nov/Dec 2023 issue. I cannot find it anywhere.

Am I going crazy or does it even exist yet?

If you keep going I will meet you here. I went crazy long ago and got here quickly because, for me, it was just a short putt. My copy arrived a short while ago. Aleesa and her crew do a great job. However, the USPS has declined over the recent past to the point where I feel like suggesting the word "service" be changed to system.

They went to the USPS the first week of November. Unfortunately magazines don’t get first class treatment and is cause for delays in delivery. We try very hard to get them out on time but have no control after the mail service has them.

I got mine a few days ago. Maybe it is the distance from Indiana to the east or west coast. It takes the pony's a while to travel that far.

Yep no complaints on the people who mail em out. The USPS is in its worst managed condition since the '70's. I heard recently that despite all the recent rate increases it STILL LOST something like 2 BILLION dollars this year! Or was it six? Any rate like the commenter said..."how can this be happening"? Total mismanagement. Treat your mail person but it won't change anything.

The truck pictured above on the Nov. - Dec. issue of The Vintage Ford was and is named "Otis", and is now owned by Bryan Ostergard in Prescott, AZ. I had the privilege of riding in it last year and it not only looks very period correct with lots of patina, but it runs great too!

If anyone can get a T to run, Bryan is your man. You are a lucky rider Keith. I had the pleasure of riding in and driving the original 1911 tourer that Bryan owned. What a delightful car that was.

It would be great to get Otis and Henrietta side by side in a photo shoot.

Hi Allan, Yes, It would be nice to get Henrietta and Otis side by side for a photo shoot, however, considering that they are several thousand miles apart it's highly unlikely.
That said, if someone is good with photo shop perhaps a perhaps a picture like this could be made. Btw, maybe it's more of a coincidence that both you and Bryan have something in common besides a love for Model T's. What's that, you ask? Well, in this modern day and age, both of you are known to like wearing Bibs!!! Just sayin' ...

Allan and Keith, thank you for the kind words. I agree, Otis and Henrietta would look great together. Can you imagine what their offspring might look like?!

Tim, I bought Otis from John Mays who lived in, If I recall correctly, Conroe Texas. The cover photo is one he took. He gave Otis his name. Thank your neighbor for me for thinking only momentarily about buying Otis. There are so many more interesting details to Otis than the picture shows, I'll have to do a write-up on him for the Vintage Ford.

Oh, and Keith, it's Ostergren, not Ostergard. But that's o.k. I have two ex-wives and have been called a lot worse!

It is now the 19th of December. I’m going to assume it arrived and I threw it away. That seems to be the only logical explanation.

I remember when a post card was one cent and a letter was 3 cents. People complained when it went up to 4 cents. For that price it was delivered by the postman who walked his route twice a day.
They charged more if you wanted to mail by air mail or special delivery. In those days there was no e-mail nor most of the other delivery services. The only one I can remember other than post office was UPS. with the ugly brown trucks. That was an international service because they also had them in Europe with the same color trucks. Only other communication was Long Distance Telephone, Telegraph, or Ham Radio.
